BIO

freezerRoom are a fascinating collaboration of musicians and producers encapsulating some of the finest contemporary talent on the Irish music scene.

With an EP on the prestigious Go Deep label already under their belt (which included remixes from internationally acclaimed house producers AtJazz and Fish Go Deep), the band have been diligently recording their follow-up over the last year and now have their debut album ready for CD and digital release November 19th 2011.

The group hinges on producer Graham White, formerly the backbone of acclaimed Cork electronic band The Shades, who upon his recent return from the bright lights of New York in 2010 applied his big apple experience to fine tune freezerRoom’s ambitious productions and gripping live performances. Selecting the finest musical contributors was no mean feat but the band now bursts with talent.

freezerRoom's Debut album features Elaine Dowling on vocal duties. Despite her tender years the young Cork musician has a built up an impressive back catalogue. As well as working behind the scenes in the Irish music industry, Elaine has produced a solo EP which she has showcased across Ireland, the UK and the US. She has worked with several producers in Ireland, providing percussion and backing vocals for Nellboy, working as a live percussionist with Martin Clancy and most recently she providing vocals for producer Colm K, with whom she released the track ‘Basics’ on Bastard Jazz Records in 2011.

Bassist Rory Dempsey and Graham have been working together for many years since the pair met as part of Cork downbeat act The Shades. The magic of the internet allowed these two to continue to create music together with Elaine while Rory moved to London to study classical double bass at the Royal College of Music. He regularly plays with orchestras there and in Ireland, and also works as an in demand session musician. He has appeared with Unkle, John Cale and Jamie Cullum among others. He has also been a member of energetic Irish house act Cartoon and has recorded extensively for other people on both electric and upright bass.

Also featuring on this release are Diarmuid Galvan on guitar and Jean Michel Cavallo on drums of Slow Motion Heroes. Well-known producer & dj Colm K (Bastard Jazz and Brownswood/FYE) and Cork trombonist Eoghan Kelly. Former Shades vocalist, composer and playwright Ray Scannell has also joined on backing vocal duties along with Andrew Phillpott (We Collect Enemies) who allowed his West Cork stash of old synths to be abused.

freezerRoom have already completed a 2FM live session, played several festivals including Cork X Southwest and a Saturday night slot in Body and Soul at this year’s Electric Picnic. The band has received favourable comment from the likes of Dan Hegarty and Jim Carroll, have gotten plenty of mainstream airplay with Stevie G on Corks RedFM and Michael Carr on 96FM. They have received plenty of positive coverage in the Evening Echo, The Irish Times, Heinekenmusic.ie and various music blogs.

The album is available from November 19th on I Tunes, Amazon and the usual online outlets, plus Plug'd Records in Cork and on www.freezerRoom.com and www.thepeoplesrepublicofcork.com. The band will be kicking off the album launch, with a live show in the Pavilion Cork on the release date (Sat Nov 19th).

The company soon racked up many achievements with Tiffany jewelry, particularly its diamonds. In 1878 Charles Tiffany bought the Cheap Tiffany Diamond, one of the biggest and best yellow diamonds the world has ever seen. The original stone was cut to 128.51 carats with 90 facets. The diamond is displayed at our Cheap Tiffany jewelry jewelry store to this day, so that Tiffany's patrons can admire its unique beauty. Not long after, the company introduced an innovative diamond ring setting that has been copied the world over. Instead of setting the diamond into the band, Tiffany jewelers used six prongs to raise the diamond off the band. This showed the diamond off better and allowed it to catch more light. In 1887 Charles Tiffany jewelry obtained some of the crown jewels that had belonged to French royalty, earning him the nickname the "King of Diamonds."
